Buck Building Supply has evolved into a multi-store company over the last 60 years. Since our namesake, Mr. Earl Buck, retired and sold the business, we have grown from the the lumber yard at the top of the hill, to three locations servicing multiple counties. Wayne and Roxanne Adkisson bought the business from CC Courtney in 1997, and in 2002 Steve Adkisson graduated from the University of Tennessee and came back to help manage the family business. In 2007 Buck Building Supply purchased Tinker Home Center in Parsons from Charlie Philpott, which would begin a time of expansion over the next few years. In 2010 Buck Building Supply purchased Decaturville Do-It Center from Hugh Raney, and in 2012 Helms Lumber company was acquired from Jimmy Helms. Buck Building Supply maintains the same values of honesty, hard work, and customer service of which these men laid the foundations. Steve and Ashley Adkisson purchased the business from Wayne and Roxanne in 2015. Ashley joined the company in 2014 to manage the financial and accounting aspects. It is a family business with family values. Steve, Ashley, or Wayne can still be seen most every day at one of the locations doing day to day activities or talking to customers.
